I've never done aerial silks — where should I start?Great question! Welcome to Circus Vision! If you've never touched an aerial apparatus before, we highly recommend taking a beginning silks class. We'll set you up for success and go over basic safety, climbing, and wrapping skills. Once you're comfortable in the air, we encourage you to try hammock, rope, or an all-levels class.
-
What should I bring (or not bring) to class? Please: Sign your waiver ahead of class Arrive 15 minutes before the start of class Bring a water bottle Wear form-fitting athletic clothes To maximize class sizes, students will share apparatuses and rosin (grip aid), so please practice proper hygiene from head to toe. Students may bring their own apparatuses and rosin. Avoid: Wearing items that can snag or damage the fabric Clothing with zippers Jewelry, watches, or other wearables Sharp nails Attempting to teach or guide your fellow students or aerialists in class and open gym. Please be advised: We take your safety very seriously. If you are more than 15 mins late to class, you're welcome to stay and watch, but you cannot participate due to missed warm-up time. Our instructors tailor each warm-up to focus on the muscle groups and movements students will need most in the day's class.
-
Can I book a private class?Yes! All of our instructors offer 1:1 coaching to help you progress your skills, choreograph your performances, build confidence, and more! Email circus.vision.collective@gmail.com to schedule.
-
Do you offer open gym time?Open gym is only offered as a benefit to unlimited aerial members at this time. These dedicated practice times are supervised by a Circus Vision staff member and are the ideal place to practice skills and performance choreography independently.
-
Do you offer kids' classes?Yes — and we're the only aerial school in the Treasure Valley that does! Visit our Youth Company & Kids Classes page to learn more about how to get your child started in the aerial arts.
-
Are the aerial arts safe?No form of circus or aerial art is inherently safe or free of risk. All first-time aerial students are prohibited from climbing past heights deemed acceptable by their instructors, and all aerial students practice with the use of safety mats. We highly encourage students and their parents or guardians to thoroughly read through our safety waiver and decide for themselves the level of risk they're willing to accept. All Circus Vision instructors are trained in basic first aid and CPR.
-
Do you take walk-ins?We aren't accepting walk-in students at this time. Please book your classes in advance, so you don't miss out! All aerial classes run on a two-person minimum.
-
What are your refund and cancellation policies? All class purchases are non-refundable but may be transferred to future classes or returned as a class credit in the event of illness or emergency as long as students, parents, or guardians notify cancel via Bookeo at least 24 hours before class. No-show bookings are not eligible for refunds or class credits. Please be advised: We take your safety very seriously, so if you are more than 15 mins late to class, you're welcome to stay and watch, but you cannot participate due to missed warm-up time. Our instructors tailor each warm-up to focus on muscle groups and movements students will use in that day's class.
